LEARN: ACT Awareness, Counter Terrorism Briefing - 3 July

2017 saw the UK face multiple terrorist attacks, many more terrorist attacks were prevented during 2018. The threat level from terrorism is at SEVERE which means an attack is highly likely.

You and your colleagues have been invited to attend an Action Counters Terrorism briefing session delivered by the Metropolitan Police Service. This is FREE and is being delivered to those who work or live in the London Boroughs of Hackney and Tower Hamlets. There is no intelligence to suggest an attack is being planned.

The ACT Awareness session will provide you with essential knowledge in counter terrorism awareness to both help prevent an attack and knowing what to do if caught up by one. This invite is extended to anyone who works within your organisation and at any level.

By the end of the session you will be able to:

  • Understand the threat from terrorism to the UK.

  •  Recognise and report suspicious activity.

  • Know what to do if you find yourself involved in a terrorist incident or events that lead up to a planned attack.
