Hackney Council has set up a £300,000 fund to commission community arts projects that bring residents, businesses, and visitors to Shoreditch and Hoxton together.
It's made up of levies placed on developers through planning applications for new buildings in Shoreditch - called Section 106 contributions.
They’re aiming to fund projects in the Hoxton East and Shoreditch ward until 2022, and projects must be match funded through cash or resources, based around high quality physical or digital events or performances, and be co-created with the community. The first round of applications closes on Thursday 1 August.
To find out more or ask about the fund, come along to our breakfast briefing drop in event on Thursday 27 June at Shoreditch Platform, 10am-12 noon. Catering will be provided.
