Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE) announced the launch of the ‘CFE FrontRow Fash-Tech Programme’ back in March. The first fashion-tech incubator of its kind in London could help change the landscape for fashion and technology and the opportunity to get on this pioneering business course is coming to a close next week.
The Fash-Tech Programme will run across three months and is designed to support 10 emerging fashion tech businesses, enhanced by a series of compelling workshops and bespoke 1-1 business support. Additionally the programme will widen the scope of business opportunities by breaking down barriers between disciplines and provide inspiring events for networking and collaboration with other sectors of the industry.
“We can see the evolution of a new space between the fashion and technology worlds and perceive this as an opportunity for fashion designers and technical creatives to collaborate through knowhow, functionality and aesthetics to be able to emotively connect with new consumers through real genuine need and purpose. Our new programme and series of events are to build on our track record to date and advance technology and fashion talents through working together and seeing the fields finding a ‘Golden Balance’ between the design and the technical while building meaningful change and opportunity”. Wendy Malem, Director of the CFE
The programme will culminate with a final pitching event in July 2015 where the 10 businesses will have the opportunity to pitch in front of a panel of serial entrepreneurs and industry investors to win a £5,000 cash prize.
