GOV's Superfast Broadband Scheme Extended After Initial Success

The BDUK connectivity scheme that offers small to medium businesses up to £3000 towards getting superfast broadband has been extended and expanded after its initial success.  The offer that is being extended to a further 28 cities nationwide on 1st April has helped companies grow their business through increased broadband speeds with Hackney being one of the leading areas in the country.

Local enterprises are really getting involved with the scheme that asks applicants to get quotes from registered providers before submitting applications and receiving vouchers. Currently Hackney towers above everyone else, with 47.3 vouchers per 1,000 SME’s  but the council is urging more businesses to take up the scheme.

Vouchers do expire, so any recipients who have not yet contracted with a telecoms provider must do so by April 28th.
