Hackney’s hospitality and Leisure sector has grown rapidly in recent years.

East London is the capital’s fastest growing visitor destination, and Hackney is at the heart of that growth.

Hackney’s restaurants reflect the Borough’s diverse cultural mix with several award-winning Turkish Restaurants in Dalston, Vietnamese clusters along the Kingsland Road and in Hackney Central and a growing range of upmarket restaurants in Shoreditch including Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen and the Rivington Grill.  In 2012 Mark Hix opened the Tramshed, typifying Hackney's innovative approach to recycling its industrial heritage into places for hospitality, business and culture.

As well as the existing hotels, there are also several proposals in the pipeline, from luxury boutique hotels to hotels aiming at the business tourism market, and hotels looking to capitalise on Hackney’s quirky reputation.
