City & Hackney are working on co-producing a joint Autism Strategy. Their vision is to have an Autism Friendly City and Hackney. Businesses are invited to inform this strategy by completing a quick questionnaire.
The Draft Inclusive Economy Strategy sets out Hackney Council’s vision for a more inclusive local economy, and sets out the approach the Council is taking to promote this over the next five years. You can view the draft strategy and comment online before the consultation closes on 17 August 2019.

Hackney Foodbank are the 100th business in the borough to become an accredited Living Wage Employer, paying all their employees a minimum of £10.55 an hour in line with the London Living Wage. The Hoxton based charity, who have provided the ingredients for more than 100,000 meals to local people in financial crisis, witnesses the effects of in work poverty on a daily basis and therefore understands the importance of paying a fair living wage.
Businesses are invited to attend an Action Counters Terrorism briefing session delivered by the Metropolitan Police Service. This is FREE and is being delivered to those who work or live in the London Boroughs of Hackney and Tower Hamlets. The ACT Awareness session will provide you with essential knowledge in counter terrorism awareness to both help prevent an attack and knowing what to do if caught up by one.
