Mayor's Civic Crowding Funding Workshop

  • London's Living Room The Queens Walk SE1 2AA UK (map)

The Mayor’s Civic Crowdfunding initiative is aimed at creating unique, quirky, human places shaped by local communities through crowdfunding. It works by inviting Londoners to publish their great ideas for transforming London’s shared spaces on Spacehive with the Mayor then pledging up to £20,000 towards the crowdfunding targets of the best projects.

Are you a community group, social enterprise, resident or trader association, Business Improvement District, Town Team, school, Neighbourhood Forum, local charity or other local organisation representing a diverse community? Thinking of crowdfunding a project? Want to learn how to run a campaign that could win you a pledge from the Mayor?

Then join the Spacehive team at City Hall for a special two-hour workshop that will offer all the advice you need on running a successful crowdfunding campaign, developing your ideas and attracting support from the crowd and the Mayor.

The workshop will cover:

  • The crowdfunding journey
  • Defining your audience
  • Creating and presenting your project
  • Case Study
  • Timeline
  • Next steps

Registration is at 5.30pm with the event starting promptly at 6pm.

It would be beneficial (but not essential) to have an early idea for a project in mind, and bring this to the session.
